Love Niche London Fashion Show: Pop-up Shop and Catwalk Show

Love Niche London played host to a pop-up boutique and catwalk show at As You Like It in Jesmond last week to celebrate the launch of our brand new website www.lovenichelondon.com

The guests were welcomed by us with a class of bubbly as they all took front row seats and patiently waited for the show to begin.

The catwalk showcased models wearing our brand new Love Niche London collection which is now available to buy online. There were various looks created on the catwalk with the models hair styled by North-East’s award winning hairdressers Hooker & Young. The looks were from casual day looks to glamorous night out styles, all of which were then available to buy from the pop-up shop at the end of the show. Alongside the clothing was decadent costume jewellery, scarves and clutch bags.

The highlight of the evening was the fashion show, giving the fashionistas in the room a taste of what to expect from the studio’s brand new diffusion line Love Niche London. The collection brings you the best of British high street fashion at guilt-free prices. All the looks shown on the fashion show were in the price bracket of £15- £55. The looks were styled by fashion stylist and owner of Love Niche Studio Nisha Vedhara.

The collection was dominated by current season trends including soft sorbet shades and winter florals, with dresses and blazer style jackets complementing cigarette patterned trousers with bralet crop tops, and finally outerwear for the upcoming winter weather. Each look was styled and complimented with some of the most luxurious jewellery.

Current Miss Newcastle GB Nicole Bailey closed the show for us wearing the Love Niche London Esme Dress.

The night continued by a style presentation from Head Stylist Paul from Hooker & Young and Love Niche Stylist Nisha Vedhara giving the audience an insight into the makeover of Rhona, our raffle prize winner from our last fashion show at Jesmond Dene House.

We closed the evening with the ladies rushing to our pop-up shop to make some purchases. We were left overwhelmed by the interest the women of Newcastle showed in our brand new collection. Overall it was a fantastic night leaving a lot of smiles on many beautiful faces.

SS14 capsule wardrobe must haves.

With the weather greatly improving, we are packing away our winter clothes and dusting off our t-shirts and shorts ready for the summer months. So we thought it was time for a post about must haves for your SS14 capsule wardrobe.

Prints – Prints are a major trend this season, with everything from florals, spots, stripes, animal prints and novelty prints such as digital vintage cars and bicycles. In the studio, we are especially loving printed trousers, our favourite are these stunning snake print in blue. These trousers are definitely a statement piece, but they are extremely versatile and you can style them with many items! We have a gorgeous collection of printed trousers available in the studio, check out our website to see more of our collection.

If printed trousers are not for you, we also have a stunning collection of silk digital printed tops, in a range of colours, prints, and sleeve length. Our must have, however, is the gorgeous roses printed top with lace sleeves and back, this top is bang on trend with the floral print and the see through lace, we love this top for a casual day look, teamed with light wash jeans, or shorts during hotter months, and a chunky wedge heel! For a statement evening dress, this Dolce & Gabbana inspired roman coin dress in emerald green is definitely a head turner! Keep hair either big and bouncy or in a top knot with a contrasting deep red lip for extra wow factor! Pastels – Pastels are huge this season, in every hue from candyfloss pink and baby blues to light tans and beige to all white looks. Pastels are one of our favourite trends here at the Love Niche studio, our favourite colour being light pink shades. We adore these lightweight soft suede material jackets with the waterfall front, they are very flattering and versatile. You can dress them up for an evening or a chic daytime look with ease. We love this all pink look for a late afternoon with girlfriends, the printed trousers are extremely flattering with a higher waist fit, the light pink vest keeps the look softer instead of bright white. Team with tan or nude accessories to keep the look fresh, try to avoid black as it can be too harsh against pastel outfits.

Leather – During hotter months you wouldn’t expect leather to be a key texture to your capsule wardrobe, but we love it! When we say leather, we don’t mean heavy leather biker jackets. Leather has had a feminine overhaul, with lightweight leather jackets with waterfall fronts, or in pastel shades! In the studio this season we have a small collection of summer leather, including a stunning two piece pencil skirt (faux leather) and real soft leather waterfall front jacket with silver beading details. Team this two piece with a plain white vest to keep it fresh and light for spring, the perfect work wear outfit. You can also team this jacket with your classic little black dress for an evening look or white skinny jeans for a daytime look!Dropped waist – The dropped waist style skirts and dresses are making a big come back this season, and we love this trend, it is very 1920’s chic! Our Love Niche dropped waist skirt has been very popular so far this season, it comes in either black or cherry red. It is very flattering as it hugs your curves in the right places. We love this skirt teamed with a blouse and one of our statement leather waist belts which cinch in your waist perfectly. These skirts are definitely going to be a big hit this season!

Love Niche S/S14 Paris collection

Last week we gave you a little glimpse into our S/S14 collection. This week Nisha has been buying in Paris, so we thought we would give you all another preview into the trends you will see this S/S at the Love Niche Studio!

First up we have some gorgeous silk bicycle printed tops, in either short sleeved, long sleeved or sleeveless. Perfect for your S/S wardrobe, they can be easily dressed up for a cocktail night with friends with leather trousers and statement lipstick, or dressed down for a casual day shopping with jeans or denim shorts. We also have these beautiful silk vintage car printed tops with floral lace back and sleeves, team with jeans (as shown) and a wedge heels for a chic daytime look. Now for our favourite trend of the season, pastels! We are a big fan of the pastel tones this season, especially that gorgeous nude pink! This shift dress is one of our favourite pieces of the new collection, with split sleeves and embellished cuffs, add gold accessories for extra wow factor for an evening look, keep hair down with loose curls for a super chic look. A lot of women who come into the studio always say they want to keep their arms covered, split sleeves are the perfect way to show a bit of skin yet keeping your arms covered, the split actually slims down the arms yet still looks sexy! The embellished pastel blouse (second image) again has those must have split sleeves. The embellished v-neck is very flattering for basically every body shape, the batwing sleeve keep this blouse from being too dressy, so you could easily take this top from day to night with the right accessories!Printed trousers are a must have this season, we can’t get enough! We especially love them in reptile print! We have a wide range of printed trousers available in the studio, in a range of colours, cuts and prints! We love them for daytime or an evening, extremely versatile, a staple in any summer wardrobe. It’s not just printed trousers we cant get enough of, we are also loving this snake printed knot blouse with floral lace neckline detail, this top is definitely on our summer must have list, stunning paired with denim and a wedge sandal heel.

Finally we have this beautiful 3/4 sleeved white dress with beautiful embellished petal neckline. This dress is definitely summer chic, team with statement earrings and gold bangles, a sandal or platform heel with hair in loose tousled curls you will definitely be turning heads! Let your jewels take centre stage

Whatever your style, great accessories are a highly personalised way to express your creative fashion personality and find your fashion bliss.

Great accessorising reflects and compliments your style on multi-facetted levels, at times shamelessly taking centre stage with head-turning self confidence. In the words of the iconic celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe “Accessorises are the antidote to blah!” And this alone is a great reason to add a little BLING into your personal style. Accessories will add a complete approach to your styling repertoire adding versatility to your wardrobe. When wearing large and colorful statement jewelry, try to keep your clothing a solid color – no crazy patterns or florals. Wearing a coloured piece of jewel is how you can add colour through accessories(we did a post about it earlier, to read all about it Click here )and keep your other jewellery, accessories and your makeup toned down and elegant or else it takes the attention away from your gorgeous jewelry!

This week’s styling tip!

Ever feel stuck in a rut when it comes to colour? Maybe it’s because you don’t know what to put with what or sometimes wearing a bright, bold or different colour feels too overwhelming for you and as if you’ll draw too much attention to yourself. We suggest you start by introducing colour through adding subtle hints. Either through Accessories- like a handbag, shoes, sunglasses, a bright watch or a bold bra peek out or maybe a bright bold vest. Our pick of the week is a neon vest.

This Black drape top shown below is one of our Best Selling tops available for purchase at the Love Niche Studio. Here is how we added a subtle hint of colour to a basic Black and white outfit. The neon just peeps through from the front cut and similarly from the back. For the ones who say we dont do colour, we suggest you try this, its subtle showcasing of colour but it can simply brighten up your day.

And for the ones who feel they can carry more colour than that. Here is another pick. An Aztec print drape top with neon orange trim. Surely to grab attention and make heads turn 😉

Love Niche London is the sister brand to Love Niche. We are now in India (so exciting!!) to show the Love Niche London collection and will be holding our much awaited exclusive Trunk Show in Punjab and Delhi. So we thought we would give you a sneak peek at some of the pieces that are part of the collection, and how we have styled them! Monochrome; A huge trend this season! These amazing striped jeggings go perfectly with this green cowl neck blouse, to add a pop of colour. We styled this look with Outhouse jewellery and Love Niche bag also in green with clashing harlequin monochrome sequin print, both accessories available from the Love Niche London studio! Classic LBD (Little Black Dress); The classic LBD should feature in every woman’s wardrobe, its a classic after all! This lbd however is a little bit different, it is jersey fabric with a knot at the waist to give a jagged hem at the front and make the back dipped. We have added an amazing Outhouse Necklace which is like a thick gold chain collar, with a large lion head central. We also added this beautiful box clutch with neon beads and and stones. Orange; Every summer orange should come out in your wardrobe, its a staple summer colour! We love this Love Niche London jersey top, it has a beautiful print with carriages, ropes and jewels. To keep the top the statement piece in the look we have paired it with skinny black trousers with a cream stripe down the outer leg. Outhouse again featured in this look with this amazing spike, jewel and lion head necklace, and the jeweled cuff which compliments the colours on the top. Clashing prints; Again another major trend is clashing prints, we love these nautical feel striped shorts teamed with this beautiful chiffon printed blouse! Teamed with this clutch in a deep coral with gold details, this is the perfect summer look! We also think that some statement earrings would look amazing with this outfit. Edgy chic; We love this floral flocked monochrome skater style dress, but worn alone it could be too sickly sweet so to give it an edge we have added this amazingly soft italian leather jacket (available from Love niche Studio) We accessories with a clashing print and colour bag for a pop of colour and these incredible outhouse earrings with tusk detail (we LOVE them!) Prim and proper revamped; The pencil skirt is killing it this season and it looks amazing on everybody (super flattering!) to keep this look chic we have gone with a monochrome spotted cowl neck blouse, this looks very classic. To revamp a classic look we have added this box clutch again but in a daring pink and added a statement outhouse necklace. Ombre maxi skirt; Ombre is one of our favourite trends this season and we are in love with this ombre maxi skirt is, its a chiffon fabric so it looks amazing when worn and floats when you walk! Teamed with this sequin tee we think it looks fab! These matching dangle earrings and cuff with neon beads (both outhouse) look beautiful with this look, the neon beads add an extra subtle dimension of colour.

The printed tee; The printed tee is basic in everyones wardrobe, this love niche london one however is in a gorgeous chiffon shirt style, embellished with jewels and has a very asian feel with the Buddha print and we all know oriental asian influence is massive this summer! (we LOVE this tee!!) To dress this tee up we wanted to make the red details pop so we teamed with a cherry red pencil skirt and gold platform stilettos to go from day to night. To put this look on another level we recommend adding a statement piece such as a gold jeweled cuff, or some amazing bling earrings.

Last but not least, Stripes; This beautiful chiffon blouse in monochrome stripes is one of our favourite pieces from the collection and it comes with this cute gold tassel belt detail around the waist. To keep the blouse the focal point we have just gone for an understated pencil skirt as it is a classic item. For accessories we have gone for striped again but this time in the form of this beautiful multi colour woven fabric clutch bag. The earrings complete this look.

First Look; summer sneak peek part 1.

Over the past few days in the house of Love Niche we have been designing, creating and sourcing some beautiful new pieces for the Summer range. So we thought we would give our lovely readers the first look at some pieces including clothing and jewellery! In this post we will show you some of the new Love Niche jewellery range and our existing Outhouse jewellery collection.

First up are the sample pieces from our new Love Niche range we have these beautiful metal cuffs in black and a lovely mix of brown/orange. They are such versatile pieces when it comes to styling and could be worn for nearly every occasion; through the day with a basic pair of jeans and a shirt or even for an event wearing a simple chic black dress, just add the cuff to give off an edgy feel!

The outhouse necklaces are definitely statement pieces and we can’t get enough of them! We have decided to show you this gorgeous stone beaded necklace in the most gorgeous aqua blue with gold details, the perfect piece to be adding a pop of colour to any outfit this summer!
