Want to stand out at that New Year’s Eve party? The right outfit is the way to do it.

The best New Year’s Eve outfits are ones that don’t hold back on glamour or sparkle. This Season is the best excuse to dress up and the perfect reason to spend on a party dress. Here at Love Niche we have outfit inspiration for the occasion so you can avoid the nothing-to-wear, dress twin conundrum. Whether you’re gearing up for a big date with your significant other, hosting a party, or something in between, here are some ideas from the  Love Niche Team to see in 2016 with style!

Iridescent

The best New Year’s Eve outfits take drama up a notch. When a little black dress just won’t do, step up the look and stand out in sequins.         Movable embellishments including oversized sequins are perfect for dancing the night away. You can never go wrong with sequins on New Years Eve. Catch everyone’s eye in a sparkling number glitter ball worthy.

When you feel you have exhausted all your party dresses earlier in the season. Think outside the typical New Year’s Eve outfits box, and opt for a jumpsuit instead! The one-piece style is totally relevant, with several options to choose from. Whether it’s a sleek black version or a statement-making backless jump suit. Be ready to strike a stunning pose in your trouser piece when the clock strikes 12!

Golden

Nothing says New Year’s Eve celebration like a sheet of solid sequins or beading. In sparkling gold, bring the glamour up a few notches with your New Year’s Eve outfit. The trick to keeping this look from getting too busy is to wear choice accessories: Minimal, tonal jewellery looks best with silver or gold! We love a pop of red on your lips ready to pout for a New years kiss.

If your not big on embellishments? New Year’s Eve outfits don’t have to sparkle to make a statement. A sexy little black dress is a fail-safe choice and a smart investment if you’re always looking at a packed social calendar. Keep it classic with a skinny belt and throw on a statement necklace and a chic faux-fur coat!

Planning a low-key dinner or a night in? Don’t completely ditch the sparkle! Try dressing up your favorite denim as for a New Year’s Eve outfit that’s equal parts glam and casual. A sequin top or jacket adds just enough sparkle. Keep accessories minimal for an effortless ensemble.

Love Niche at the Living North Christmas Fair.

Living North Christmas Fair, Love Niche, Ladies fashion, Womenswear

We posted on our Twitter and Facebook offering tickets for the Living North Fair which was held at Newcastle Racecourse at the beginning of the month and we received so much interest. Even so we were amazed at the amount of lovely people who visited our stall at the 4 daylong Christmas event. Especially given how frantically we were rushing around to get our stall looking as gorgeous as possible.

ikea, lights,

With a quick pit stop to Ikea to buy decorations for our stand to make it look as gorgeous as possible we were all ready to go. Our hard work paid off as we received so many compliments on our stands appearance, most people asking us where are lights were from, so we let them in on our little secret.

As well as our gorgeous lighting, our customer’s absolutely loved the Studio Collection, which was flying off the rails. Our most popular items from both the Studio Collection and Love Niche London diffusion line had to be our gorgeous fur trimmed poncho, perfect for keeping warm this winter. Our fur collar was also very popular amongst buyers, the perfect addition to a winter wardrobe. Ideal to throw over a coat, a top or even wear with an evening dress.

You also absolutely loved our Tartan and dogtooth print Sarah Blanket Cape, a must have item for this season. Wear as a scarf for a pop of colour, or wear as a cape and belt in the middle for a effortless catwalk look.

Now do not panic if you couldn’t visit us at the Living North Christmas fair as we have just added loads of new winter stock onto the website. Stay warm this winter with our newest items, style our Jo Pink Gilet and wear over knitwear to create a warm layered look. Or how about our Samantha Blanket Cape, ideal to recreate the infamous Burberry cape at a fraction of the cost.

Love Niche London Fashion Show: Pop-up Shop and Catwalk Show

Love Niche London played host to a pop-up boutique and catwalk show at As You Like It in Jesmond last week to celebrate the launch of our brand new website www.lovenichelondon.com

The guests were welcomed by us with a class of bubbly as they all took front row seats and patiently waited for the show to begin.

The catwalk showcased models wearing our brand new Love Niche London collection which is now available to buy online. There were various looks created on the catwalk with the models hair styled by North-East’s award winning hairdressers Hooker & Young. The looks were from casual day looks to glamorous night out styles, all of which were then available to buy from the pop-up shop at the end of the show. Alongside the clothing was decadent costume jewellery, scarves and clutch bags.

The highlight of the evening was the fashion show, giving the fashionistas in the room a taste of what to expect from the studio’s brand new diffusion line Love Niche London. The collection brings you the best of British high street fashion at guilt-free prices. All the looks shown on the fashion show were in the price bracket of £15- £55. The looks were styled by fashion stylist and owner of Love Niche Studio Nisha Vedhara.

The collection was dominated by current season trends including soft sorbet shades and winter florals, with dresses and blazer style jackets complementing cigarette patterned trousers with bralet crop tops, and finally outerwear for the upcoming winter weather. Each look was styled and complimented with some of the most luxurious jewellery.

Current Miss Newcastle GB Nicole Bailey closed the show for us wearing the Love Niche London Esme Dress.

The night continued by a style presentation from Head Stylist Paul from Hooker & Young and Love Niche Stylist Nisha Vedhara giving the audience an insight into the makeover of Rhona, our raffle prize winner from our last fashion show at Jesmond Dene House.

We closed the evening with the ladies rushing to our pop-up shop to make some purchases. We were left overwhelmed by the interest the women of Newcastle showed in our brand new collection. Overall it was a fantastic night leaving a lot of smiles on many beautiful faces.

We are hosting a few more events before the end of this year, have a look on our Facebook and Twitter for more information.

Its already time to make space in your wardrobe as the new season arrives

We all look forward to autumn winter, so its also a very exciting time for us as we start to get our new seasons must-have trends in the studio. *Excited* But We will be sharing those in our upcoming posts.

So we thought before we start showing off our collection we share with you a little crash course about A/W14 and what’s going to be trending this season.

Heres a our quick 3 step guide on how to be on trend for the new season which is not only rich in ideas, colours & shapes, With the emphasis on functionality & wearability the new season Trends require little translation and they can skim seamlessly from runway to real life.

COLOUR: We love the colours that are on trend for Autumn/Winter 14. Monochrome and dark charcoal greys are a big trend this season.

Multi coloured furs & metallic leathers are interesting combination and definitely a way to stand out from the crowd. Other colours that are going to be key this season are Scarlet Reds,Tan & all kinds of Blue from Teal to royal blue.

TEXTURE: There are a lot of textures around this Autumn/Winter from shearling to leathers, furs, tartans and Chunky Knits. Prints wise, animal prints are still big especially leopard print and Snakeskin. Also winter florals and painterly pieces. There is a lot of Texture going on this season especially Leather with Shearling combined. This is definitely a trend to watch out for!

DETAIL: Accessories such as Heavy embellished scarves & belts are ones to watch out for. Also floral corsages are making a return and all things folklore, these intricate details are amazing.Playful accessories are making a headline this winter from designers such as Christopher Kane & Anya Hindmarsh, from fluffy & furry shoes to supermarket themed tote bags.

SILHOUETTE: Overall the silhouette shape this season is boxy, oversized and quite masculine but still with plenty of feminitiy.Layered Blanket coats are back along with luxury ponchos, capes and wrap over coats. Theses styles are multi textured, heavy weight and will keep you wrapped up nice and warm this winter. The Tailored look is back again however this time they are softened by being loosely shaped. If you Feel like something more comforting,Woollen knits have taken on a new shape this year with 3d loops,Frills chunky cable knits &chunky ribbing  for a more fun look.

Fashion Friday – Accessorise Like Rihanna

Accessories can often make or break an outfit, they add personality, style and colour. It’s almost like salt, a little can add flavour and interest, too much and you’ve ruined a perfectly good meal, or in this case, outfit. Balance is often key, make one item stand out such as a statement necklace, oversized earrings or multiple rings. Of course an arm party is always welcome, who doesn’t love to stack bracelets? however we think just the one arm is enough!

Our style crush has to be Rihanna who always gets her accessories right, from the dainty to the dramatic she’s always on the fashion radar. Here’s how she wears hers

The Statement Necklace

Tip – If wearing a loud colourful piece balance with neutral shades and block colours. If the item is metallic try bold colours to make it really stand proud.

Rihanna style

The Oversized Earrings

Tip– To avoid looking too dressed up juxtapose this statement piece of jewellery with a simple ponytail or the latest look – the slicked back hair.

rihanna jewellery

Rings on Rings

Tip – Go as excessive as you like, mix colours, styles and stones, to elongate fingers add midi rings which sit above the knuckle.

We have amazing one off statement cuffs and necklaces with designs coming exclusively from an Indian fashion jewellery designer so you won’t have the worry of bumping into anyone in town with the same look!

Celeb Style – Blushing Pink

kardashians wearing blush So someone must have told the Kardashian-Jenners blush was a big hit on the runway for S/S14, you can see here how they’re all wearing the shade, albeit in slightly different tones but blush all the same.

I like the way they have each put their own stamp on the hue by styling it in their way from Khloe’s sexy tailoring to Kylie’s preppy jumpsuit and Kim’s figure hugging 2 piece.

There’s many ways of wearing this seasons colour, we have dresses, tunics, shirts, trousers and even jackets. We’ve selected some of our favourites from the studio which you can of course mix and match!

Trend Report: Blues

As Spring is officially around the corner it seems a great time to talk about one of our favourite shades for the new season, blue. We’ve seen various hues on the models at fashion week and lets not forget the stunning Lupita Nyong’o wearing THAT amazing Prada gown in a perfect powder blue.

Best: Lupita Nyong’o

What we like most is that the colour can be worn by anyone with any skin tone by simply tweaking the shade slightly, Lupita Nyong’o demonstrates how a pale blue can offset a darker skin tone beautifully and with fair skin a deeper blue or turquoise shade looks great.

Here at Love Niche we have selected some of our favourite pieces to create 3 outfit ideas using clothing in this Seasons hottest hue.

Look 1 – The Weekend Wardrobe

When it comes to the weekend we want to relax a little but this doesn’t mean lowering the style stakes. This is often our chance to wear something a little more edgy especially if you’ve wore tailored attire all week.

We’ve selected these popular faux snake print trousers with a slightly structured white top to pick out the accents in the trousers and given it some attitude with a stunning leather jacket and oversized clutch.

ImageLook 2 – The Work Dress

Another trend for the new season is florals which touched upon in our last post  here The combination of the navy with the floral print is heavenly and looks formal enough to wear to work but shows individuality and style. We chose this dress as it is an item you can take from day to night easily by switching up those heels and adding an evening clutch.

Image

Look 3 – The Dinner Date

Whether this is with family, friends, or loved one a lace dress is always a winner. It’s adds just enough sassiness without looking overdone, the sheer lace sleeves and neckline give a sophisticated touch whilst the lower section is simple which contrasts nicely. We often get asked what jackets to wear with evening dresses, for this particular dress we would pair it with one of our soft faux leather trench jackets. They’re lightweight and look incredibly smart not to mention versatile.
