Here are two of our favourite ‘summer coats’ from our Love Niche collection. First is our take on the classic Mac, its light and easy to put on over any outfit. The over-sized statement collar gives this coat an edgy twist. (Also available in black)
Secondly we have this white linen jacket. Again it is light and easy to pop for a casual daytime look, the tie at the back pulls the jacket in to make it more flattering and fitted.

Wednesdays styling tip.
Before you can go and pick your perfect summer bikini you need to know your body shape. There are many categories that you can fit into but the main four are; Athletic, Straight, Pear and Curvy.
- Athletic – You tend to have broad shoulders, narrow hips and fairly muscular legs.
- Straight – You have few curves, your waist and hips are pretty much the exact same measurements.
- Pear – Your bottom half is wider and you are very petite on top with narrow shoulders.
- Curvy – You are an hourglass shape and are in proportion, with your shoulders and hips measuring the same with a smaller waist, creating the curves.
This emerald green bikini is ideal for an athletic figure, it will show off their perfectly toned torso and slight figure, yet creates a bust with the padded under-wire cups on the bikini top. The tassel detail sides on the bikini bottoms also make hips appear wider, giving the illusion of more curves. Pass on bandeau tops as they will squish you down and make you look too boyish, also avoid the boy shorts and shapeless tankinis! You’re lucky though as you can get away with bold printed bikinis!
If you are a straight shape then this yellow ruffled bikini would be ideal. The embellished ruffled bikini top fills out the bust area giving the impression of bigger boobs. The tie sides are also good for your shape giving the illusion of more curves. Avoid bandeau tops with no neck straps and boy shorts! You and athletic shapes can also carry off bold bright prints effortlessly!
If you are a pear shape, then you are one of the only shapes that can pull of the bandeau bikini top! The bandeau makes your bust look wider giving the impression that you are more hourglass than pear. The detailing on this bikini draws your eye up towards your bust and away from your wider hips. The solid colour minimizes your bigger bottom half and slims you down. When buying your bikini make sure you don’t buy bottoms with a bold print, try and keep to solid colours.
The high waisted bikini is the original pinup style, and has be reinvented for 2013 with lots of styles available. The pinup style is hourglass, and a high waisted bikini accentuates the curves of an hourglass figure. The high leg bottom gives you longer legs and the ruffles on this bottom will secure your stomach if that is a problem area. The bikini top is a simple bandeau halter neck which will secure your bust. But with an hourglass shape make sure you buy in solid colours or very small print otherwise it will distort your proportions!
Cannes, It’s a White Out!
Well last week was the uber stylish week of the Cannes Film Festival. Its renowned for being one of the most prestigious events of the year! Every year we are in awe of the gowns, so we have decided to share our best dressed with you! This spring/summer 2013 is huge for white, and we are BIG fans of all white everything! So this is our opinion on who we think has done white well (not in order).
First on our list is the absolutely stunning Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, she opted for all white Dior dress and white Louboutins. She looks glowing, the dress fits her like a dream, this is a very classic look and allows the dress to do the talking by keeping it basic.
Next up we have Nicole Kidman on the red carpet wearing a magnificent Valentino gown! This look is flawless, the gown is so beautiful with intricate lace detail and classic high neck. Nicole finished this look off perfectly with subtle red lip as the only accessory, we LOVE this look.
Carey Mulligan’s look has been hit and miss for some people, however we love her in this Vionnet dress. Monochrome is bang on trend this year, and we love the almost origami feel to this dress! Black sky scrapper heels complete this look, we think she looks hot!
Whenever you think of Emma Watson, you always think of the cliche ‘Girl next door’ but not anymore, gone are her Harry Potter days! She donned the most amazing Chanel column dress with black velvet bustier. She looked the epitome of elegance, chic and style.
Last, but by no means least, is Solange Knowles. She stepped out wearing a bright white Stephane Rolland 2013 jumpsuit, not a gown but none the less fabulous! She has absolutely nailed this look, we are in love with the immaculate tailoring and unusual conical detailing around the neckline and down the sleeves, teamed with her statement red lip and tan heels perfects this look, she looks fierce!
This week’s styling tip.

Here are some examples of how we would go hands free when going out to party! We always try to add colour through accessories, mainly with bags! The last look is one of our faves with adding a neon yellow chained clutch to a glam evening outfit!
First up is a look from our fashion show launch from Newcastle fashion week, this look was adored!

Here is the stunning Karen, behind the scenes of our latest love niche photoshoot, rocking a striking leopard midi with red accessories.
Newcastle Fashion Week.
Well Newcastle Fashion Week is finally over, and what a fantastically hectic week it was in the House of Love Niche!! We have had an amazing time and met so many lovely people!
We kicked off Newcastle Fashion Week 2013 in style, by attending the official launch party at Mercedes Benz garage for the Cruise Clothing catwalk.
We were greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival and got the chance to look around the ‘bootiques’ and at the dreamy cars, including the official Newcastle Fashion Week Mercedes, before the show started. We were lucky enough to get front row seats for the catwalk, Cruise put on an amazing show, we fell in love with sooo many pieces that we just NEED to have! If you didn’t get to attend the launch or haven’t yet seen the pictures, these are the official photographs.
During the evening at Mercedes we got to sample some of the incredible cocktail creations by Livello bar, including our favourite the Marshmallow Martini (out of this world!) This gave us a taster of what was to come, as we then headed on to Livello’s for the after party in the exclusive members only area upstairs, the perfect end to an amazing launch!
Monday 13th May was the big event of the week for us, as it was the Fringe event for our much awaited launch for the new cruise/resort wear collection!! The entire day was such a whirlwind and flew by, with model fittings, goody bag packing, sorting and styling the looks, timing the walk…the list is endless, safe to say we had a crazy 13 hours!
When the clock struck 7 the doors were officially open at the Hood St Club and the guests started to pour in, we were in to the final hour countdown so we were all frantically trying to organise the last few details before showtime!
8’o clock and the models were lined up all looking amazing in their first looks and ready to go. The show lasted for 25 minutes and was split into 4 looks; First were looks from Love Niche- Monochrome, Second were Niche by Nisha Vedhara-Wedding, third and fourth were both the amazing kaftans by Niche by Nisha Vedhara.
Here are a few of our favourite looks from the night, and the link for the official photographs firstly by Lee Scullion and also Alex Alevroyiannis.
Also check out the lovely Alexandra’s post about her evening at the Launch!
This weeks styling tip.
As part of our new collection that has just landed in the house of Love Niche, we have some amazing crisp white shirts in some unique styles!
The first shirt is a fabulous cut and extremely flattering as it has a slight peplum to it so it hides those pesky love handles we all try so desperately to cover!
The shirt below is a very unusual design, but gorgeous at the same time! It has a very feminine feel to it and we LOVE that about it! We would team this shirt with some skinny fitted jeans, a heel and some colourful accessories! A fresh white shirt and jeans is always a winning combo ladies!
Here is a mannequin from the Love Niche Studio, looking very glam, this look would be perfect for late afternoon cocktails with girlfriends! This is how we would style a shirt for an evening, adding a bright pop of colour with accessories.

This week’s styling tip.
This weeks styling tip; bag organiser.
The cheap yet stylish way to organise your bag if you are short on cash is to revamp an old clutch into a bag insert, for example we found an orange clutch we had in the bottom of our wardrobe and filled it with our daily essentials. The bag organiser would also be ideal for travelling; below is the orange clutch, it has the travel basics inside since Love Niche has just landed in India!!
Love Niche London.
Love Niche London is the sister brand to Love Niche. We are now in India (so exciting!!) to show the Love Niche London collection and will be holding our much awaited exclusive Trunk Show in Punjab and Delhi. So we thought we would give you a sneak peek at some of the pieces that are part of the collection, and how we have styled them!
Monochrome; A huge trend this season! These amazing striped jeggings go perfectly with this green cowl neck blouse, to add a pop of colour. We styled this look with Outhouse jewellery and Love Niche bag also in green with clashing harlequin monochrome sequin print, both accessories available from the Love Niche London studio!
Classic LBD (Little Black Dress); The classic LBD should feature in every woman’s wardrobe, its a classic after all! This lbd however is a little bit different, it is jersey fabric with a knot at the waist to give a jagged hem at the front and make the back dipped. We have added an amazing Outhouse Necklace which is like a thick gold chain collar, with a large lion head central. We also added this beautiful box clutch with neon beads and and stones.
Orange; Every summer orange should come out in your wardrobe, its a staple summer colour! We love this Love Niche London jersey top, it has a beautiful print with carriages, ropes and jewels. To keep the top the statement piece in the look we have paired it with skinny black trousers with a cream stripe down the outer leg. Outhouse again featured in this look with this amazing spike, jewel and lion head necklace, and the jeweled cuff which compliments the colours on the top.
Clashing prints; Again another major trend is clashing prints, we love these nautical feel striped shorts teamed with this beautiful chiffon printed blouse! Teamed with this clutch in a deep coral with gold details, this is the perfect summer look! We also think that some statement earrings would look amazing with this outfit.
Edgy chic; We love this floral flocked monochrome skater style dress, but worn alone it could be too sickly sweet so to give it an edge we have added this amazingly soft italian leather jacket (available from Love niche Studio) We accessories with a clashing print and colour bag for a pop of colour and these incredible outhouse earrings with tusk detail (we LOVE them!)
Prim and proper revamped; The pencil skirt is killing it this season and it looks amazing on everybody (super flattering!) to keep this look chic we have gone with a monochrome spotted cowl neck blouse, this looks very classic. To revamp a classic look we have added this box clutch again but in a daring pink and added a statement outhouse necklace.
Ombre maxi skirt; Ombre is one of our favourite trends this season and we are in love with this ombre maxi skirt is, its a chiffon fabric so it looks amazing when worn and floats when you walk! Teamed with this sequin tee we think it looks fab! These matching dangle earrings and cuff with neon beads (both outhouse) look beautiful with this look, the neon beads add an extra subtle dimension of colour.
The printed tee; The printed tee is basic in everyones wardrobe, this love niche london one however is in a gorgeous chiffon shirt style, embellished with jewels and has a very asian feel with the Buddha print and we all know oriental asian influence is massive this summer! (we LOVE this tee!!) To dress this tee up we wanted to make the red details pop so we teamed with a cherry red pencil skirt and gold platform stilettos to go from day to night. To put this look on another level we recommend adding a statement piece such as a gold jeweled cuff, or some amazing bling earrings.
Last but not least, Stripes; This beautiful chiffon blouse in monochrome stripes is one of our favourite pieces from the collection and it comes with this cute gold tassel belt detail around the waist. To keep the blouse the focal point we have just gone for an understated pencil skirt as it is a classic item. For accessories we have gone for striped again but this time in the form of this beautiful multi colour woven fabric clutch bag. The earrings complete this look.
All accessories in these images/looks are available from the Love Niche Studio!
Thank you for reading and please let us know which is your favourite outfit?! xox
