Love Niche At NE1 Newcastle Fashion Week

At Love Niche we had the privilege of showcasing some of our unique designs at Newcastle Fashion week with great feedback. The first event was held at the beautiful chandelier room in Assembly Rooms. We featured 5 outfits which included our new evening and resort wear, the below even caught the eye of designer Julien Macdonald as he chatted to us about it at the after party.

On Wednesday we arrived at Tiger Tiger for the highly anticipated Fashion Front Row show which included designers such as Kate Fearnley who has designed for Girls Aloud and designer Dayne Henderson who’s work was commissioned by none other than Lady Gaga!

For this event we added more evening wear and glamour with metallic sequins on a variety of outfits from separates, dresses and a jumpsuit.

Get The Look: Met Gala Gowns

This week was the Met Ball Gala and we still haven’t got over the incredible dresses worn by some of the Worlds biggest stars. Hollywood glamour was in full force and we couldn’t help feel our own stunning lace dress would have looked fabulous amongst all the other designers.

Our team member and fashion blogger Carly wore the nude and black lace dress to show just how beautiful the dress is and showcase the detailing on the bodice and skirt.

This is our sample but we create our bespoke dresses to fit you perfectly, come into the studio and we will take your measurements and discuss the options, you may want to alter the length, add more beads or change the fabric.

The IT Dress – Your Chance To Shine

Love NICHE Studio will be taking part in a variety of events for NE1’s Newcastle Fashion Week 2014 running from the 9th to the 17th May.

A selection of exclusive Fashion & Style presentations will be hosted in the fabulous Studio on Clayton Street on different days and times throughout this eventful week, all themed and inspired by meaningful movies.Join us for breakfast and an insight into the world of classic styles inspired by Audrey Hepburn; or come along for a delicious afternoon tea and a presentation of the latest pastels and prints trends for Spring Summer 2014; or enjoy a cocktail or two (or three!) while watching an intimate fashion show presenting the fabulous evening and occasion wear collection designed exclusively by Nisha Vedhara.

EVENT: Fashion Style Event At Jesmond Dene

Last Wednesday we held a super stylish fashion show at the beautiful Jesmond Dene house, the evening started with delicious macaroons and refreshing Pimms which led onto Nisha’s style presentation which ended with a huge applause.
Nisha talked about current seasons trends, prints, and used her styling experience to give tips on creating the perfect outfit to suit your body shape.

The hall was decorated beautifully with large illuminated letters, petals leading the models path for the show and goodie bags on all the seats which went down well with the guests who then visited our pop-up shop.

The catwalk show was full of neon brights, exotic prints & textures showcasing what Love Niche Spring/Summer had to offer!

We set up a mini boutique in one of the large breakfast rooms, displaying the stunning jewellery, bags and clothing with a walk-in-wardrobe feel. The show must have seriously impressed the guests as it became full to capacity when the show finished

Overall the night was a huge success, with some influential attendees including Editors and Newcastle United footballer Steven Taylor. We’d like to thank everyone who came and special thanks to all at Jesmond Dene, 5th Avenue florists, Headline Models, La Di Da magazine, regroup, Sabrina Rudnicka, The event dressers, Coco Lumiere, Macmillan and Hooker & Young.

Just before they took the letters away we managed to grab a picture of Nisha posing next to the display!

Fashion Friday – Accessorise Like Rihanna

Accessories can often make or break an outfit, they add personality, style and colour. It’s almost like salt, a little can add flavour and interest, too much and you’ve ruined a perfectly good meal, or in this case, outfit. Balance is often key, make one item stand out such as a statement necklace, oversized earrings or multiple rings. Of course an arm party is always welcome, who doesn’t love to stack bracelets? however we think just the one arm is enough!

Our style crush has to be Rihanna who always gets her accessories right, from the dainty to the dramatic she’s always on the fashion radar. Here’s how she wears hers

The Statement Necklace

Tip – If wearing a loud colourful piece balance with neutral shades and block colours. If the item is metallic try bold colours to make it really stand proud.

The Oversized Earrings

Tip– To avoid looking too dressed up juxtapose this statement piece of jewellery with a simple ponytail or the latest look – the slicked back hair.

Rings on Rings

Tip – Go as excessive as you like, mix colours, styles and stones, to elongate fingers add midi rings which sit above the knuckle.

Celeb Style – Blushing Pink

So someone must have told the Kardashian-Jenners blush was a big hit on the runway for S/S14, you can see here how they’re all wearing the shade, albeit in slightly different tones but blush all the same.

I like the way they have each put their own stamp on the hue by styling it in their way from Khloe’s sexy tailoring to Kylie’s preppy jumpsuit and Kim’s figure hugging 2 piece.

There’s many ways of wearing this seasons colour, we have dresses, tunics, shirts, trousers and even jackets. We’ve selected some of our favourites from the studio which you can of course mix and match!
