Want to stand out at that New Year’s Eve party? The right outfit is the way to do it.

Sequin Statement

The best New Year’s Eve outfits are ones that don’t hold back on glamour or sparkle. This Season is the best excuse to dress up and the perfect reason to spend on a party dress. Here at Love Niche we have outfit inspiration for the occasion so you can avoid the nothing-to-wear, dress twin conundrum. Whether you’re gearing up for a big date with your significant other, hosting a party, or something in between, here are some ideas from the  Love Niche Team to see in 2016 with style!

Iridescent

The best New Year’s Eve outfits take drama up a notch. When a little black dress just won’t do, step up the look and stand out in sequins.         Movable embellishments including oversized sequins are perfect for dancing the night away. You can never go wrong with sequins on New Years Eve. Catch everyone’s eye in a sparkling number glitter ball worthy.

Jumpsuit

When you feel you have exhausted all your party dresses earlier in the season. Think outside the typical New Year’s Eve outfits box, and opt for a jumpsuit instead! The one-piece style is totally relevant, with several options to choose from. Whether it’s a sleek black version or a statement-making backless jump suit. Be ready to strike a stunning pose in your trouser piece when the clock strikes 12!

Golden

Nothing says New Year’s Eve celebration like a sheet of solid sequins or beading. In sparkling gold, bring the glamour up a few notches with your New Year’s Eve outfit. The trick to keeping this look from getting too busy is to wear choice accessories: Minimal, tonal jewellery looks best with silver or gold! We love a pop of red on your lips ready to pout for a New years kiss.

If your not big on embellishments? New Year’s Eve outfits don’t have to sparkle to make a statement. A sexy little black dress is a fail-safe choice and a smart investment if you’re always looking at a packed social calendar. Keep it classic with a skinny belt and throw on a statement necklace and a chic faux-fur coat!

Planning a low-key dinner or a night in? Don’t completely ditch the sparkle! Try dressing up your favorite denim as for a New Year’s Eve outfit that’s equal parts glam and casual. A sequin top or jacket adds just enough sparkle. Keep accessories minimal for an effortless ensemble.

Love Niche at the Living North Christmas Fair.

Living North Christmas Fair, Love Niche, Ladies fashion, Womenswear

We posted on our Twitter and Facebook offering tickets for the Living North Fair which was held at Newcastle Racecourse at the beginning of the month and we received so much interest. Even so we were amazed at the amount of lovely people who visited our stall at the 4 daylong Christmas event. Especially given how frantically we were rushing around to get our stall looking as gorgeous as possible.

ikea, lights,

With a quick pit stop to Ikea to buy decorations for our stand to make it look as gorgeous as possible we were all ready to go. Our hard work paid off as we received so many compliments on our stands appearance, most people asking us where are lights were from, so we let them in on our little secret.

As well as our gorgeous lighting, our customer’s absolutely loved the Studio Collection, which was flying off the rails. Our most popular items from both the Studio Collection and Love Niche London diffusion line had to be our gorgeous fur trimmed poncho, perfect for keeping warm this winter. Our fur collar was also very popular amongst buyers, the perfect addition to a winter wardrobe. Ideal to throw over a coat, a top or even wear with an evening dress.

You also absolutely loved our Tartan and dogtooth print Sarah Blanket Cape, a must have item for this season. Wear as a scarf for a pop of colour, or wear as a cape and belt in the middle for a effortless catwalk look.

Or how about our Samantha Blanket Cape, ideal to recreate the infamous Burberry cape at a fraction of the cost.

Love Niche London Fashion Show: Pop-up Shop and Catwalk Show

Love Niche London played host to a pop-up boutique and catwalk show at As You Like It in Jesmond last week to celebrate the launch of our brand new website www.lovenichelondon.com

The guests were welcomed by us with a class of bubbly as they all took front row seats and patiently waited for the show to begin.

The catwalk showcased models wearing our brand new Love Niche London collection which is now available to buy online. There were various looks created on the catwalk with the models hair styled by North-East’s award winning hairdressers Hooker & Young. The looks were from casual day looks to glamorous night out styles, all of which were then available to buy from the pop-up shop at the end of the show. Alongside the clothing was decadent costume jewellery, scarves and clutch bags.

The highlight of the evening was the fashion show, giving the fashionistas in the room a taste of what to expect from the studio’s brand new diffusion line Love Niche London. The collection brings you the best of British high street fashion at guilt-free prices. All the looks shown on the fashion show were in the price bracket of £15- £55. The looks were styled by fashion stylist and owner of Love Niche Studio Nisha Vedhara.

The collection was dominated by current season trends including soft sorbet shades and winter florals, with dresses and blazer style jackets complementing cigarette patterned trousers with bralet crop tops, and finally outerwear for the upcoming winter weather. Each look was styled and complimented with some of the most luxurious jewellery.

Current Miss Newcastle GB Nicole Bailey closed the show for us wearing the Love Niche London Esme Dress.

The night continued by a style presentation from Head Stylist Paul from Hooker & Young and Love Niche Stylist Nisha Vedhara giving the audience an insight into the makeover of Rhona, our raffle prize winner from our last fashion show at Jesmond Dene House.

We closed the evening with the ladies rushing to our pop-up shop to make some purchases. We were left overwhelmed by the interest the women of Newcastle showed in our brand new collection. Overall it was a fantastic night leaving a lot of smiles on many beautiful faces.

We are hosting a few more events before the end of this year, have a look on our Facebook and Twitter for more information.

On-Trend Swimwear This Summer

At Love Niche we like to create unique pieces with trends and silhouettes in mind. This Season neon is playing a huge part whether it’s accessories, heels or clothing it’s here to stay and Summer is the best time to wear your highlighter hues.

Beach to the Bar is a collection Nisha created whilst in India, her idea was to create resort-wear that is suitable for around the beach but fabulous enough to wear should you fancy grabbing a cocktail or two at the poolside bar. There’s 2 styles in the collection, The set below is very feminine and suitable for any age, the flattering swimsuit fades to a blue which Nisha has placed in the lower half to give the illusion of a slimmer bottom. For aesthetics and privacy it comes with a detachable matching skirt which gives it that goddess look.

The second look in the collection is a set with bikini bottoms and neon yellow zipped tank with sequin covered fabric and leopard trim. It has more of a Sports Luxe feel but gives a high fashion appearance to your usual  bikini. Again the skirt is detachable and the perfect height if you want to cover your tummy.

Both are available on a made to measure basic, these are samples only. If you are interested in either of these pieces of resort-wear then come into the studio and you can discuss your requirements. You may want to change the length of the skirt or colour or even add a different trim.

These are bespoke to you, that’s what makes us Niche.

LoveNiche Chats To Julien Macdonald

This month Newcastle NE1 hosted fashion week right here in the city center across a number of venues highlighting much of what us Geordies have to offer.

On Saturday the10th we attended the Company presents catwalk which celebrity Designer Julien Macdonald hosted. Alongside Julien were two of Company’s fashion team who introduced the show. You can see the images of what we showcased on that catwalk in our last post here.

On the evening Cruise were hosting a catwalk featuring Vivienne Westwood’s collection so team Love Niche headed over. In a last minute decision we decided to go all out and wear super glamorous dresses from Niche by Nisha Vedhara both of which received a huge amount of compliments.

After the show Julien came over to comment on the dresses which you can imagine was such an incredible compliment and then stood with us for pictures.

newcastle fashion week

After the show we all headed next door to Bonbar for cocktails and chats, true Sex in the City style in our dazzling dresses!

Whilst in the VIP area Julien and the lovely Company fashion writers invited us to join them, we ordered more drinks, canapés and discussed fashion, how Nisha got into the industry and Julien’s path to stardom. I have to say that during that hour or so I felt so inspired and drawn to Julien’s charisma and humble attitude. He asked about each of us and took a photo of my ear cuff for inspiration!

Calling us the ‘Glam Squad’ he asked us for a picture for his instagram, which we of course obliged,  I mean not every day fashion royalty asks YOU for a picture…

SS14 earrings!

The new season is gradually starting to come in to the Love Niche Studio! Since the weather is still pretty gloomy and we can’t don our favourite S/S14 trends just yet, we have been looking for a way to introduce a bit of summer into our daily looks. Luckily, the new collection of Love Niche earrings has arrived! Everything from nude pastels, coloured stones, crystals and pearls!

We love these cream and gold disc earrings with pearl details. They could easily be worn day to night, for any occasion! For an evening look sleek your hair back off your face and let the earrings do the talking, wear with your favourite LBD and killer heels, add a red lip for extra wow factor! photo 1 (18)These stunning crescent moon earrings are perfect for an evening look! They will definitely make heads turn with the crystal and pearl details.  Either wear with a gorgeous dress or even try with leather trousers and a deep lipstick for more of an edgy glam look!photo 3 (13)We can’t get enough of these round turquoise stone earrings! They are ideal for adding a pop of colour during these gloomy months and will look stunning during summer with an all white look! To make the earrings pop even more try and wear with a clutch or heels the same colour. photo 2 (20)These unusual drop statement earrings are one of a kind. The coral stone is a gorgeous summer colour and looks stunning against the gold. The clear crystals give these earrings that extra wow factor and will definitely stand out against your LBD for an evening look! Again we would suggest to wear coral in other accessories such as your clutch, heels or a coral lipstick. You could also team with a coral blazer over your LBD to make the coral stone on the earrings pop and not get lost. photo 4 (10)

Trend of the week – Colours for SS14

With production well under way for the Love Niche SS14 collection it has made us excited for a new season! So we thought we would share a trend each week, to give you all a Love Niche crash course into the coming season!

So for our first post about the SS14 trends, we thought we would give you a glimpse into our must have colours for this season! Spring/Summer in our eyes is all about colour, whether it be a bright acidic hue or a toned down fondant pastel, we just love colour! However there are a few certain colours that we think are must haves which should be injected into every wardrobe! Adding colour into your wardrobe even by purchasing a coloured tee or some coloured accessories/jewellery is the most simple and cost effective way of keeping on top of the new season.

RED has been a massive hit this SS on the runway, and we love it! There has been every shade shown from cherry reds, to darker richer shades. When wearing red we would always keep accessories either nude, tan or black to keep your look classic. reds ss14

PINK is one of our favourite SS colours, its very feminine and goes with everything! This season you will see all tones from acid pinks, hot pinks, magenta all the way to pastel shades like candy floss pinks. If you arent a fan of pink, you can still indulge in this trend even by treating yourself to a new pink lippy!pinks ss14 trend

YELLOW, the notoriously difficult colour to wear, has made a big comeback this season. We can’t seem to get enough of this sunshine shade, you will see a lot of yellow this coming season from lemon, buttercup, sherbet and mustard! Even if you think you cant pull of yellow, we urge you to give it a go and find a shade which suits you! Try teaming a yellow fine knit layered with a white shirt underneath and dark wash skinny jeans for a casual chic look. After all it will definitely give your wardrobe a summery feeling! yellow ss14

GREEN, is not a usual summer colour hit, but we are loving it this season! Our favourite shade is mint green, and the brighter bold tones (Peter Pilotto, last 2 images, is one of our favourite collections this season!!) green hues ss14

BLUES. Blue definitely made a big appearance on the runway this season, these bright bold shades from electric blues to sky blues are going to brighten up any wardrobe this season. If you aren’t a fan of bright colours, then we would suggest adding some soft pastel blues into your wardrobe from duck egg blue to powder blues. To make the perfect summer combo add some crisp white to your blue! To inject blue into your Spring look without having to break the bank we suggest a subtle hint by painting your nails your favourite shade! powerful blue hues ss14mint-powder blue hues ss14
