With production well under way for the Love Niche SS14 collection it has made us excited for a new season! So we thought we would share a trend each week, to give you all a Love Niche crash course into the coming season!
So for our first post about the SS14 trends, we thought we would give you a glimpse into our must have colours for this season! Spring/Summer in our eyes is all about colour, whether it be a bright acidic hue or a toned down fondant pastel, we just love colour! However there are a few certain colours that we think are must haves which should be injected into every wardrobe! Adding colour into your wardrobe even by purchasing a coloured tee or some coloured accessories/jewellery is the most simple and cost effective way of keeping on top of the new season.
RED has been a massive hit this SS on the runway, and we love it! There has been every shade shown from cherry reds, to darker richer shades. When wearing red we would always keep accessories either nude, tan or black to keep your look classic.
PINK is one of our favourite SS colours, its very feminine and goes with everything! This season you will see all tones from acid pinks, hot pinks, magenta all the way to pastel shades like candy floss pinks. If you arent a fan of pink, you can still indulge in this trend even by treating yourself to a new pink lippy!
YELLOW, the notoriously difficult colour to wear, has made a big comeback this season. We can’t seem to get enough of this sunshine shade, you will see a lot of yellow this coming season from lemon, buttercup, sherbet and mustard! Even if you think you cant pull of yellow, we urge you to give it a go and find a shade which suits you! Try teaming a yellow fine knit layered with a white shirt underneath and dark wash skinny jeans for a casual chic look. After all it will definitely give your wardrobe a summery feeling!
GREEN, is not a usual summer colour hit, but we are loving it this season! Our favourite shade is mint green, and the brighter bold tones (Peter Pilotto, last 2 images, is one of our favourite collections this season!!)
BLUES. Blue definitely made a big appearance on the runway this season, these bright bold shades from electric blues to sky blues are going to brighten up any wardrobe this season. If you aren’t a fan of bright colours, then we would suggest adding some soft pastel blues into your wardrobe from duck egg blue to powder blues. To make the perfect summer combo add some crisp white to your blue! To inject blue into your Spring look without having to break the bank we suggest a subtle hint by painting your nails your favourite shade!
