Love Niche S/S14 Paris collection

Last week we gave you a little glimpse into our S/S14 collection. This week Nisha has been buying in Paris, so we thought we would give you all another preview into the trends you will see this S/S at the Love Niche Studio!

First up we have some gorgeous silk bicycle printed tops, in either short sleeved, long sleeved or sleeveless. Perfect for your S/S wardrobe, they can be easily dressed up for a cocktail night with friends with leather trousers and statement lipstick, or dressed down for a casual day shopping with jeans or denim shorts. imagem_201402121810101392228610_7209imagem_201402131444221392302662_7217We also have these beautiful silk vintage car printed tops with floral lace back and sleeves, team with jeans (as shown) and a wedge heels for a chic daytime look. imagem_201402121734051392226445_1414imagem_201402131455131392303313_1709imagem_201402131454541392303294_4236Now for our favourite trend of the season, pastels! We are a big fan of the pastel tones this season, especially that gorgeous nude pink! This shift dress is one of our favourite pieces of the new collection, with split sleeves and embellished cuffs, add gold accessories for extra wow factor for an evening look, keep hair down with loose curls for a super chic look.  Laurie&JoeOK-5A lot of women who come into the studio always say they want to keep their arms covered, split sleeves are the perfect way to show a bit of skin yet keeping your arms covered, the split actually slims down the arms yet still looks sexy! The embellished pastel blouse (second image) again has those must have split sleeves. The embellished v-neck is very flattering for basically every body shape, the batwing sleeve keep this blouse from being too dressy, so you could easily take this top from day to night with the right accessories!Laurie&JoeOK-15Printed trousers are a must have this season, we can’t get enough! We especially love them in reptile print! We have a wide range of printed trousers available in the studio, in a range of colours, cuts and prints! We love them for daytime or an evening, extremely versatile, a staple in any summer wardrobe. Laurie&JoeOK-20It’s not just printed trousers we cant get enough of, we are also loving this snake printed knot blouse with floral lace neckline detail, this top is definitely on our summer must have list, stunning paired with denim and a wedge sandal heel.

Finally we have this beautiful 3/4 sleeved white dress with beautiful embellished petal neckline. This dress is definitely summer chic, team with statement earrings and gold bangles, a sandal or platform heel with hair in loose tousled curls you will definitely be turning heads! Laurie&JoeOK-23What is your favourite piece from our new collection?!

Trend of the week – Must have prints SS14

Last week we did our first post about the must have colours for SS14, in our series of “Trend of the week” posts. This week it is all about prints, SS14 has gone print crazy, from feminine florals to edgy abstract designs!

FLORALS – They have made an elegant triumphant return this SS14! But forget those chintzy florals! You have so much choice this season, with a broad collection of different prints ranging from pretty 3d floral clusters at Giambattista Valli, embroidered floral details at Erdem and oriental Japanese style floral prints as seen at Marni and Hermes. Elie Saab also wowed us with a gorgeous collection, the poppy print is one of our faves! SS14 FLORALS

STRIPES – We have seen lots of stripes on the runway this SS14 and we are loving them in all sizes; thick, bold or thin, horizontal and vertical! Burberry showed gorgeous thick bold horizontal striped pencil skirts and sheer skirts with bold striped knickers peeking through. Fendi showed stripes in some unusual ways by layering different shades of fabrics to create an ombre effect to their dresses. Stripes were also shown at Vanessa Bruno in the form of zebra stripes and also bold coloured striped high waisted shorts and matching tops!SS14 STRIPES

CHECKS – Last season they were huge and tartan was one of the biggest trends of the season, and they carry on with their dominance on the runway into SS14. They have had a SS14 overhaul, think colour, when picking your checks anything from candyfloss pink to acidic yellow hues! Take your inspiration from House of Holland who showed a gorgeous collection at LFW. Sass and Bide also showed checks in their SS14 collection with monochrome check and sheer white check jumpers also pink check sections on maxi skirts.SS14 CHECKS

NOVELTY – We saw a lot of unusual and eclectic prints this SS14, from fun iconic lip motif prints at Giles, to butterflies at Vanessa Bruno, then ranging to the very creatively stunning yet unusual collection at Christopher Kane who had cut out petals (some in very questionable places!!) slogan “petal” and “flower” printed jumpers and flower anatomy printed on silk and sheer dresses and jumpers. Ashish is another designer who showed a lot of slogan prints in the collections this season, a favourite being “Coca-Cola” shown on tops, dresses, jumpers with cobalt blue sequined arms and even trousers, which were also printed with Arabian words.SS14 NOVELTYImage credit to style.com

OOTD; Clashing monochrome.

20130703-183707.jpgEven though we are thrilled that autumn is upon us, the past few days of summer have been glorious, today included! So to keep summer alive we have decided to wear some bright shades today to keep us in a fun loving mood. Monochrome is always a classic colour combo, you can never go wrong with classic black and white. We have put a twist on monochrome with this look and teamed clashing prints.

The striped top is light and airy, perfect for warmer days, and the yellow jacket ties in perfectly with the yellow waist band on the skirt! For those days you don’t want to bare all, 40 denier tights are ideal!

This week’s styling tip.

The anticipation of autumn’s arrival is killing us here at Love Niche! It is still too warm to indulge in chunky knits, leather trousers, fur gilets and woolen hats, we never thought we would say this but we are bored of summer…!

So to get you all a bit more excited about your a/w13 wardrobe this post is about our new prints that have landed for the coming season. Everybody loves a good print, so we’ve chosen two of our favourite printed dresses which show some of this seasons must have prints; Aztec, dogtooth/animal print.

Our first look is something with a bit of glitz and glam! It’s going to be Christmas season soon, when everyone gets out their sequins and sparkle. This dress is perfect for this season, with the Aztec sequin skirt, it’s not too much on the bling side, as it has been balanced out with the taupe on top. This dress is extremely flattering, as it skims over all the lumps and bumps! Team this look with some killer heels, a clutch and a red lip to turn some heads!photo 1 (30)photo 2 (32)Next, we have this gorgeous mixed print jersey wrap dress; clashing prints at its best! We love the mix of dogtooth and leopard print! The wrap on this dress makes it very flattering for a lady with a bigger bust, and the knot detail with the buckle at the waist makes sure the dress skims over the stomach, making you look slim. You can easily dress this up for an evening with some stiletto heels or down for work with some thick black tights!photo 3 (24)photo 4 (20)
